Kenneth P. Minneman, Ph.D. – Partner
Dr. Ken Minneman, a Partner at Biohme, joined the team in 2016. Dr. Minneman is one of the top highly cited researchers in his field with over 170 research papers and 12,000 citations. He graduated from M.I.T. with a B.S. in Life Sciences and received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Cambridge, England. His postdoctoral studies at the University of Colorado Medical Center focused on adrenergic receptors and cell signaling. His first faculty position was at Emory University in 1980, where he rose through the ranks to an endowed Professorship in 2000. In2009 he began three years in Saudi Arabia at the new King Abdullah University of Science and Technology north of Jeddah, where he was Dean of Biological, Chemical, Environmental, and Marine Science and Engineering. He is currently an Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology at Emory University. He was very active in the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, where he was elected President in its centennial year 2008. He has worked in the area of receptors and signal transduction for most of his career and consulted with a wide variety of pharmaceutical and consumer product companies.
Nidhi G. Williams, Ph.D. – Partner
Dr. Nidhi Williams is Partner and Founder of Biohme, a Limited Liability Company and boutique consultancy, that specializes in innovation, invention and strategy in the broad areas of Health Sciences, Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Williams received her Ph.D. from Harvard University, Division of Medical Sciences, in 1994. She also received a Masters in Organic Chemistry from Duke University and a M.B.A. in Finance from the Goizueta School of Business, Emory University. Dr. Williams’ areas of research experience include discovery and analysis of metabolic processes, cell signaling and cancer biology, immunology, biodiversity and pharmacology. She is the author of 15 scientific articles and reviews on her research in cell signaling and cancer biology. She has strong presentation and communication skills developed over her career through presentations at scientific meeting and teaching. Dr. Williams has combined her skills in biology and finance to advise and consult for small and large biotechnology companies as well as investment firms. Currently, she is particularly interested in pursuing discovery and therapeutics in the field of metabolic diseases and personalized medicine.
